Fossa Golf Society history starts in the year 1989. A meeting was held in the Golden Nugget on the 13th January.
The following attended: Tadgh O’Reilly, Seamus Coffey, Ted McCarthy(RIP), Tim O Brien, Tim Cronin, Michael Cunningham, Bernie Cronin, Kieran Coffey, Pat Doherty, Tom Hughes(RIP), Denis Coffey(RIP) and Brendan Coffey.
It was agreed that the Society would be offered to residents of Fossa Parish. The first outing took place on the 18th March 1989 and was won by Con Stack with 42 points.
The society has gone from strength to strength with the growth of Fossa Parish and today we have over 80 members.
